Data Deletion / Delete My Data

This page explains how you can request deletion of personal data associated with your use of LifeOctave (the “Service”).
1. What Data Can Be Deleted
Depending on how you use the Service, you may request deletion of:
- Your account and login data
- Your email address and name
- Your birth date and sound profile inputs
- Your in-app preferences and usage history stored by us
- Personalized sound profiles, saved calculations, or account-related content stored by us
- App event or analytics data associated with your account, where deletion is technically possible and required by applicable law
Certain transactional records related to purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, or tax obligations may need to be retained and may not be fully removed.
2. Delete Your Account in the App
You can delete your account and associated personal data directly within the LifeOctave app:
- Open the LifeOctave app
- Go to Profile / Settings
- Tap “Delete Account”
This action will permanently delete your account and associated personal data stored by us, subject to any legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention retention requirements.
3. How to Request Data Deletion
If you are unable to access the app, you can request deletion of your data by sending an email to:
Include the following information:
- The email address associated with your account
- A clear statement that you are requesting deletion of your data
- Any additional information reasonably necessary to verify your request
Please note that deleting the app from your device does not delete your data stored with us.
4. Processing Time
We aim to process data deletion requests as quickly as possible, generally within 3 business days where reasonably possible. In some cases, a longer period, up to 30 days, may be required due to legal, technical, security, payment, or verification constraints.
We may verify your identity before completing your request to protect the security of your information.
5. What Happens After Deletion
Once your data is deleted:
- You may no longer be able to access your account or personalized content
- Your sound profiles, saved calculations, and history may no longer be available
- Your access to certain purchased or subscription-based content may be affected
- Certain non-personal, anonymized, or aggregated data may be retained for analytics, security, and internal reporting
- Certain records may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, payment, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes
6. Advertising and App Event Data
LifeOctave may use third-party app event measurement tools, including Meta App Events and TikTok App Events SDK, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you request deletion of your data, we will delete or de-identify personal data stored by us where required and technically possible. Some app event data already processed by third-party partners may be handled according to those partners’ own privacy policies and data retention practices.
You may also control advertising and tracking permissions through your device settings, including Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS and advertising ID controls on Android.
